NCCC holds Home fair '14

ON ITS 3rd year, New City Commercial Center (NCCC) offered its loyal shoppers a two-week treat through its Home Fair 2014 from July 18 to August 3.

The event was opened with a ribbon cutting led by Chiquit Papa, NCCC Department Store AVP for Operations and Cita Sumalpong, NCCC Department Store Mall Manager.

The shoppers availed of up to 50-percent discount from home accent, house wares, furniture, electronics and appliances.

"We are just so happy and want to give back to our loyal shoppers in a way of offering great discounts with our partners distributors and sponsors," Papa said.

One of the highlights of the two-week activity was the Arrange A-Room Contest participated by different schools and universities here in the city.

Participating schools were to design a living room and bedroom, following the concept for "designing small spaces."

The set of judges included Chiquit Papa, Associate Vice President of Lim Tian Sui (LTS), Department Stores, Inc; Architect Atanacio G. Gonzaga Jr. and Norris Acuña, Creative Visual Artists of LTS, Department Store, Inc.
The Philippine Women's College (PWC) placed 1st and took home P10, 000 cash prize.

The winning group is composed of Ma. Leslee Leyritana, Jevah Anino, Elda Louise Aznar and Mae Angelic Maningas.

The bedroom design of the students from Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) placed second, taking home P8,000 cash prize.

The group composed of Ronald Mejorada, April Jay Manlangit, Marjohn Daquis and James Kevin Galvizo.

Another team from PWC comprised of Jesreel Laru-an, Lieje Dicon, Jyzon Bautista, and Mariah Kaschiva Ansama. They took home P6, 000 cash prize.

While the participants from University of Mindanao composed of Reyan Quindo, Jayson Coloma, May Joy Divino and Christine Joy Gregori landed in 4th place and got P4,000.

The pre-judging was held last July 18 wherein shoppers were also given a chance to vote for their favorite room arrangement to win a Tramontina 53-pc cookware set.

Last August 3, different schools took part to the Flair tending competition.

It was Jan Francel Lee B. Chua from Holy cross of Davao College who finished the grand champion while Paul Buenconsejo of Brokenshire College and Norman Blanco of University of Mindanao placed 1st and 2nd runner-up, respectively.

Two participants, namely: Jason Baterbonia of Philippine Women's College and Christian Albarillo from University of Immaculate Conception received a consolation prize.

Kapamilya talents, Rovic Cuasito and Steven Suave also took part of the two-weeks celebration, via Boom Panalo and Presyo Nito, Hula Mo variety show, held last July 20 and 27.

Other activities held were PinoyHenyo, Cooking Demo, Mini games, Food tasting and Raffle, Home Talks and many more.

The exhibitors and sponsors of the activity are Mandaue Foam, Home Suite, Familia, Lock & Lock, Max Furniture, Uratex Foams, MLH Curtains, Melawares, Dew Foam, Matrix, Wella Metal, Hardwaremaxx by NCCC and NCCC Supermarket.
