Business Class to Bangkok?

This is new-access to Premium Lane of the Thai Immigrations exclusive to PAL Business Class & Premium economy passengers

DESTINATION: Bangkok. With the city’s high tourist arrival, Suvarnabhumi Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world.

Picture thousands of visitors deplaning from different parts of the globe on a daily basis then try to imagine how long the queue on the immigration section is. Not a good situation to be in after a long flight from Davao.

Now, how to go around this episode? Easy, fly Philippine Airlines’ Business Class or Premium Economy. The flag carrier will make your entry to the Big Mango easier and quicker so you can savor that Pad Thai or hit the shopping malls right away.
But first, experience the ease of a connecting flight from Davao to Bangkok. Premium Economy and Business Class passengers have a designated check-in lane, no long queues here. They get access to the Mabuhay Lounge (and to that really good rice porridge the Mabuhay Lounge is so popular for) and get to board the plane at their convenience.

What’s nice about flying PAL all the way to Bangkok is you get to check thru. Meaning no claiming of luggage midway through the journey and checking in again. Imagine the hassle that it can cause. Plus, you don't have to change terminals. All you have to do is walk to the International Departure gate and flash that boarding pass issued to you in Davao. You can wait for the boarding announcement at the PAL Manila Mabuhay Lounge and have a second serving of rice porridge.

In the Business Class or Premium Economy section of the plane, your three hour travel to Bangkok will be in truly comfortable—a wide seat that reclines, spacious legroom that any Melanie Marquez-ish passenger (Read: long-legged person) will give a nod of approval to, chef-conceptualized hot meal with your choice of drink to match, and an entertainment console that will play your movie or music on demand. Oh, you get free Wi-Fi up in the sky, too.

Have you been on board the reconfigured A330-300 plane? The Premium Economy seats are divine but the Business Class seats are heavenly! On any of these seats, you’d think three hours is just too short a ride.

So what else is new? PAL has another perk that will make every Business Class and Premium Economy passenger smile. Remember I told you about the long lines at the Thai Immigration? You, dear passenger, can “cut the line”, so to speak, in a legit way.

Onboard PAL, Business Class and Premium Economy passengers will be handed a Premium Lane pass each. This means you have access to the Priority Lane Section of the Thai Immigration reserved for diplomats, officials, airline crew, etc. This area is set apart from the “regular” immigration section, where the lines stretch to kingdom come.

This new perk is an assurance that you get cleared in a jiffy so you can have your favorite Thai food ahead of the others.

Heading back home, you go through the same process with ease. Your comfort and convenience covered to and from Bangkok, just #flyPAL.
