List-up on for `Araw' bikefest

REGISTRATION is now open for the ninth Mayor Rody Cycling Challenge set to unreel on March 20.

Salvador Paholio, Jr., Philcycling vice-president for Mindanao, said interested riders may start signing up at the Jaltan Food Centrum in Magallanes St.

"This is a free registration cycling competition that will feature team and individual categories," Paholio said.

Paholio said the route will be announced anytime this week as the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office and Engr. Jose Gestuveo of the City Engineer's Office along with traffic enforcement representatives will have yet to finalize it.

"There's a plan to include the newly-completed farm to market road in the route," Paholio said.

Cash prizes await the team and individual winners as the champions will also receive trophies.

All participants will also be given signature Inday Sara shirts before the race starts.

The bike event is part of the Araw ng Dabaw sports festival presented by Mayor Rodrigo and Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte in coordination with the SDD-CMO. (MLSA)
