4 hurt in another Bukidnon landslide

AFTER the landslides in Valencia City, another town in Bukidnon, this time in Kitaotao, was hit, leaving four people injured Sunday night.
The victims were identified as Genevieve Padilla, Jennelyn Cuarto, and a couple Tomas and Honoria Pansacala, who are both in serious condition.

According to Kitaotao Mayor Rodito Rafisura, the landslide occurred right at the residence of the victims in sitio Maloos, Barangay Simoda around 8 p.m.

Three other houses were destroyed, with debris and earth covering the national highway.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Bukidnon immediately cleared the road to allow motorists to pass.
Earlier, the National Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Center reminded residents in Northern Mindanao to stay alert this week as landslides and flashfloods are likely to occur due to the foul weather.
It can be recalled that on July 4, two separate landslides happened in Valencia City, leaving five people dead and injuring six others.
