Year of Water Dragon, an unpredictable one

THE Year of the Water Dragon brings many possibilities of prosperity and good fortune and not the end of the world, though there are speculations and even movies that say 2012 will be the end of the world.
Water Dragons appear every 60 years and according to Chinese Zodiac, it begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013.

The Dragon is the fifth sign in the Chinese Zodiac and in ancient China, a dragon represents an emperor or power.
"The year of the dragon is an unpredictable year because it could either give you success or misfortune if you do not handle your finances properly," said Vicente Lao, president of Mindanao Business Council (MBC).
He added that 2012 will also be an exciting year for all, especially those who were born during the year of the dragon.
In Eastern philosophy, the Dragon is said to be a deliverer of good fortune and a master of authority and those who were born during this year are to be honored and respected, according to usbridalguide.com.
"I am going to face the dragon year with enthusiasm and I believe that I am able to do this on my own without depending too much on Western and Eastern Signs," said Marychell Banayog, a nurse who was born in the year of fire snake.
"It is sometimes good to at least research about what the Chinese has to say about the coming year. A boost to one’s morale and I believe that whatever your sign say, you still have to things that shows best of you," said Alexa Marie Campbell, college professor.
