KIDAPAWAN CITY -- Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT) in North Cotabato arrested in an entrapment operation a 22-year-old Internet cafe worker who was accused of blackmailing a 17-year-old college student using the cyber space.
Arrested was identified as Bryan Louie Pomol, 22, who worked at the Epic Touch Cafe here.

Pomol, according to Girlie, not her real name, introduced himself as a foreigner looking for a wife in the Philippines.
Girlie at that time was using one of the computers of the cafe. While doing her assignment, using the net, she opened a chat box where she met a foreigner who was actually Pomol.
Later in their chatting, the foreigner was already asking for a “one-night stand.” When the girl refused, he threatened her he would spread her alleged video scandal.
This alarmed the girl.
So she sought the help of the CIDT-North Cotabato.
Around 3:30 p.m. Friday, the operatives, with the help of the victim, trapped the suspect in one of the hotels in the city.
Authorities said the suspect tried to elude arrest so they had him collared in one of the corners of the Osmeña Drive with the help of some bystanders in the area.
Pomol, according to the CIDG, would be charged of violating Article 356 of the Revised Penal Code for threatening to publish an alleged video scandal for a compensation or money consideration.
