Assumption College hit for malicious ad vs. Army
Saturday, February 4, 2012
AN OFFICIAL of the Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) lambasted the administration of Assumption College of Davao for its malicious advertisement against the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as the brain in the killing Fr. Fausto “Pops” Tentorio.
Colonel Leopoldo Galon Jr., Eastmincom spokesperson, said it’s been more than a month since agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested the prime suspect in the death of Tentorio, but still the streamer with writings that read "Stop Killing Religious Leaders Under Oplan Bayanihan" remains outside the school’s gate.

Galon said the streamer is malicious and grossly unfair to all soldiers who have died and to communities who benefited from their campaign.
Galon said their troops believe that the streamer aims to brainwash students and even curious minds of the passers-by to believe in the lies by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
He added that the streamer intends to undermine the people’s trust on the military and its peace-oriented Bayanihan campaign.
"Attributing the murder of the priest to the military is clearly one of their propaganda scheme with the communists to mislead the people," Galon said.
Sun.Star Davao tried to get the reaction of Assumption College of Davao but the administrator was not available for interview.
