P100,000 valuables lost to robbers

AROUND P100,000 worth of valuables were lost to robbers in separate incidents in Davao City on Sunday.
The first robbery victim was identified as Hazel Aliden Mendez, 32, nurse, resident of Doña Vicenta Village.

Mendez lost her bag containing P20,000 cash, MyPhone cellular phone worth P4,000, and identification cards, to two motorcycle-riding suspects while she was walking along Columbia Street, Barangay 9-A around 9 a.m.
Another robbery incident happened around 10 a.m. inside a Roxas-bound public utility jeepney from Mintal. The victim was identified as Aprilyn Ordaneza Ayag, 32, housewife, resident of Tagum City.
Talomo police investigation showed that the victim and her two children were on their way to the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal in Ecoland when an unidentified man seated beside her declared a holdup.
The suspects carted away her bag containing personal belongings, assorted jewelry, cellular phone, and P3,000 cash.
The suspect was described as 5'6" in height, slim built, good looking, with moustache, white complexioned, in black slacks and white t-shirt with collar.
The third incident happened around 10 p.m. where three male suspects ransacked a house in GSIS Heights Subdivision in Matina, owned by one Dixie Ariera Derla, 36, businesswoman.
The suspects carted away around P10,000 cash, assorted jewelry (three gold bracelets, two gold ladies ring, one set of earrings embedded with diamonds, and two gold necklace) worth P50,000.
Personnel of the San Pedro Police Station said the suspects forcibly entered the padlock of the house's back door.
Police are still conducting further investigation to identify the suspects. (Ivy C. Tejano)
