Ampatuan worker falls

RAJAH BUAYAN, Maguindanao -- Authorities arrested a member of the Special Civilian Volunteer Organization working with the Ampatuan clan on Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as Sahid Guiamadel, 41, resident of barangay Sapakan, Rajah Buayan.

According to Maguindanao Provincial Police Office director Marcelo Pintac, Guiamadel was arrested based on the warrant penned by Quezon City branch 221 Judge Jocelyn Solis Reyes around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Pintac said the suspect was arrested by combined forces of the Rajah Buayan police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) and 1st Mechanized Infantry Light Armor Brigade of the Philippine Army.
Pintac said Guiamadel has a bounty on his head of P50,000 for his involvement in the gruesome massacre in Sitio Masalay, Barangay Salman, Ampatuan, Maguindanao last November 23, 2009. The incident left 58 dead including 32 members of the media.
The suspect was endorsed to the CIDG-Soccsksargen who will present
Guiamadel before Judge Jocelyn Solis Reyes.
Maguindanao governor Esmael "Toto" Mangudadatu is thankful for Guiamadel's arrest who has been the subject of manhunt operations.
To date, the military and police have strengthened its efforts to arrest the suspects behind the massacre. (Edgardo Fuerzas)
