AROUND 1,500 children and parents have benefited from the medical and dental outreach program of the Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB)-Dava Region on Wednesday at Limao Elementary School in the Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos).
Superintendent Florencio T. Ortilla, RPSB-Davao Region commander who heads the medical and dental outreach program, said this is the fourth program held in partnership with local government in the remote areas in the region.

The RPSB conducted its first and second outreach programs in Barangay Alegre in Davao del Sur and Barangay Tibungco in Davao City last December 2011. The third was held in Calinan in Davao City in January 2012.
Aside from the dental mission, the children and their parents were also treated to a free haircut, slippers, magic show, among other.
"Ito ay tulong lang para sa ating mga kababayan, because if you can notice, marami pa talagang mga kababayan natin ang nangangailangan ng tulong natin," Ortilla said, adding that he would like to encourage private and public sectors to donate in kind donations for those in needs. (Ivy C. Tejano)
