THE City Prosecution Office (CPO) charged a village chief who allegedly kicked and dragged a 15-year-old boy in July 2011.
In his resolution, Prosecutor Stella Camino found probable cause to charge Rene Estrope, village chief of Agdao Centro, with violation of Republic Act 7610 based on the affidavit-complaint of the victim.

The victim, in his affidavit, said along with cousins and friends, he went for a walk in Agdao Centro when the respondents onboard a motorcycle stopped in front of them.
The victim said the village chief asked them if they were involved in a riot, which they denied. He said they continued to walk but Estrope held him, then he was kicked and dragged.
The victim sustained wounds in different parts of his body.
Estorpe, in a phone interview Wednesday, denied the allegations, but said the filing of the case is politically motivated. (Arianne Caryl N. Casas)
