Dabawenyos pray city lives up to ‘most liveable’ tag

AS THE city celebrates its 75th founding anniversary, Davao City lawyers only wish for a peaceful and successful event.
Labeled as one of the most livable cities in Asia, Davao City is not only known for its abundant natural resources and clean surroundings, but also for its peace and order and industrial competitiveness.
Davao City chief city prosecutor Raul Bendigo prays for "a happy celebration of the Araw and a peaceful and secure Davao City for its residents and visitors."
"I wish Davao City more success in its efforts to make the city a 'most livable' community for all who decided to make Davao City their home…" regional prosecutor Antonio Arellano said.
Integrated Bar of the Philippines Eastern Mindanao governor lawyer Israelito P. Torreon said, "As Davao City celebrates its 75th anniversary, may it continue to be guided by a clear roadmap in its quest for sustainable development, progress, prosperity and peace under the aegis and respect for the rule of law."
Lawyer V. Emmanuel C. Fontanilla said, "I hope the city will truly represent the dreams identity in aspiration of Mindanao."
Judges in the city also hope for the success of the celebration.
"I hope that it will be peaceful, successful with no untoward incident," Regional Trial Court branch 14 Judge George Omelio said.
"The Bureau of Immigration Davao District office would like to greet the people of Davao City a happy, peaceful and more meaningful celebration on the occasion of its 75th founding anniversary," said Bureau of Immigration Davao acting alien control officer Florentino Diputado.
