POLICE arrested three hold-up suspects while one of them was wounded in a shoot-out at a burger stand along Magallanes, Davao City on Friday.

The wounded suspect was identified as Gemar Raagas, 26, resident of Purok 5, Barangay Matina Pangi, Davao City.

Raagas was wounded in a shoot-out with Police Officer 2 (PO2) Milo Mise.

Based on the blotter at the San Pedro Police Station, three men robbed Angel's Burger in front of Grand Men Seng Hotel along Magallanes Street around 3:10 a.m. Friday.

According to sales clerk Ellete Salibay, 27, the three declared a hold-up at gunpoint at her and took her earnings worth P1,200.

Salibay described one man as wearing a bonnet, cream-colored sleeveless shirt and blue jeans.

A report was then dispatched to the mobile patrol units. Mobile patrol number 43 lead by PO2 Mise and PO2 Ely Dela Cruz immediately responded to the scene.

Police patrolled the streets of San Pedro and Duterte where they saw a parked red Honda Vega with three men around it.

One of the men fit Salibay's description. When police officers addressed him, he ran off, prompting Misa to chase him.

Upon reaching Rizal Street, in front of Rizal Promenade, Raagas wielded a caliber .38 revolver and shot at Mise.

The police officer shot back using his M16 Baby Armalite, hitting the suspect in the leg.

Responding members of the Central 911 brought the suspect to the Southern Philippines Medical Center where he is now declared out of danger.

Recovered from Raagas possession is a Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolver with five bullets.

The two other men are now detained at the San Pedro Police Station. (Blue Cordero)
