THE City Prosecution Office (CPO) has yet to issue a resolution on the frustrated murder case filed against alleged smuggler of luxury vehicles, Lynard Allan Bigcas, who figured in a shooting incident in Davao city in February.

A source, who refused to be named, said Bigcas had already answered in writing the accusations that he shot Lawyer Miguel Palma Gil, regional director of the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, at Mabini corner Torres streets on February 18.

Lawyer Aimee Torrefranca, reportedly a former girlfriend of Palma Gil, was with Bigcas at the time of the incident. Torrefranca also stands accused in the case.

The fiscal, assigned to handle the case and resolve whether there is a probable cause to charge Bigcas, is yet to issue a resolution.

The case was filed under regular filing. Procedures at the CPO showed that cases under preliminary investigation are resolved within 90 days.

Reporters traced on Tuesday the update of Bigcas' case filed here after it was learned in a radio report in Cagayan de Oro that Bigcas has been once again tagged in another shooting incident there.

Bigcas reportedly fired at a certain Michael Turner Allan, 51, an American national, and resident of Apartment Door 09 in corner Tiano-Gomez Street, Cagayan de Oro City. He missed his target.

It was learned that Allan and Bigcas had a spat over a traffic incident on Kauswagan Highway evening of June 4.

The two allegedly continued their brawl along Capistrano Street, Cagayan de Oro, where Bigcas fired at the American national with a caliber .45 pistol.

The spat between the two allegedly started over suspected smuggled vehicles from the US.
