Usep among top 300 universities in Asia-A A +A

THE University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) made it to the top 300 universities in Asia, said education network Quacquarelli Symmonds (QS).
Base on its website, Usep ranked 251-300, marking the first time the school made it on the list.
According to the website of the QS World University Rankings, the most established of the range of research projects that QS operates, have been in existence since 2004.
QS has been conducting research in a range of areas since 1990 beginning with a global survey of MBA employers.
Usep is one of the five universities in the Philippines making it to the top universities.
The other four universities are University of the Philippines in Dilliman that ranked 68th, Ateneo de Manila University ranked 86th, De La Salle University ranked 142nd and University of Santo Tomas ranked 148th.
The list also showed that in 2011, UP ranked 62nd; Ateneo 65th; UST 104th; and La Salle 107th.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology topped the list while the National University of Singapore ranked second.
The University of Hong Kong was third, while Seoul National University ranked fourth.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong placed fifth, Peking University sixth, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology at seventh, University of Tokyo at eighth, Pohang University of Science and Technology in South Korea at ninth, and Kyoto University in Japan at 10th.
QS said it based its rankings on size, subject range, research intensity and age.
