THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has assigned 16 new recruits of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to Talomo Police Station.
Senior Superintendent Ronald M. dela Rosa, DCPO director, said it was the best way to help the Talomo police following series of robbery incidents in its area of jurisdiction.
"As much as we wanted to propose for sub-stations under Talomo police, the process will take long. Dili man lang sa kay kulang atong kapulisan, kundili dako jud ang area of responsibility sa Talomo police," Dela Rosa said.
He also assured that if there will be another newly recruited police personnel to be assigned at DCPO, he will assign them to Talomo police to help them address concerns in the area.
Based on the data from the DCPO's Investigation and Detection Management Branch, of the 26 burglary incidents in May, 11 were from Talomo police, seven from Buhangin, five from San Pedro police, and three from Sasa police.
Initial data from DCPO-IDMB showed of nine burglary incidents this month in the city, six were from Talomo, one from San Pedro, one from Toril, and another from Buhangin.
"Kadaghanan ana robbery incidents na solve na, na pasakaan na ug kaso ang mga suspects pero naa pud uban wala pa tungod kay minored edad ang mga suspects," SPOI Ronald L. Deocos, crime registrar of the DCPO-IDMB, said. (ICT)
