Man sued for stealing computer parts

A 27-YEAR-old man was sued before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) for stealing computer parts from an internet cafe last week.
Charged with theft is Enrique Faisan based on the complaints of Teresa Carismal, 21, cashier of Net Express Cafe located on Bolton Street, Davao City.
Court records showed that the accused stole a total of P17,150 computer parts.
Faison allegedly stole six pieces of 512-megabyte internal hard drive worth P9,000, a one-gigabyte memory card worth P3,000, a hard disk worth P5,000, and a computer card worth P150.
In her affidavit, Carismal said it was around 4:30 a.m. of June 26 when she was checking on the customers at the 2nd floor of the shop and saw the accused dismantling a unit.
When she asked what Faisan was doing, he merely said, he wanted "to transfer his game to another unit."
Carismal noticed that the central processing unit (CPU) was already open, its cord was detached and was turned off.
She said she tried to switch it on and heard a beep sound indicating that the memory card was already missing.
They immediately call for police assistance thus, the filing of case.
Records showed that Faisan was temporarily released from jail after posting P20,000 bail recommended by prosecutor Lady Zozobrado. (Arianne Caryl N. Casas)
