11 police stations get cash incentives

THE City Government of Davao released on Monday cash incentives to the personnel of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The incentives are anti-crime projects for policemen and Social Amelioration Allowance for every personnel of the DCPO and BFP.
In a simple ceremony held inside DCPO headquarters in Camp Domingo Leonor, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the anti-crime incentives depend on the performance of the policemen, while each police personnel and firefighter received P1,000 worth of social amelioration allowance per month.
Superintendent Noel Fermin, DCPO's admin chief, said the DCPO has 1,359 personnel.
"With the anti-crime incentives for DCPO personnel, more crimes will be solved. The more crimes solved the higher cash incentives they will receive, Carpio said.
She added that the Sta. Ana Police Station received the biggest incentive of P113,000 because of the several crime they had solved in the last quarter of 2011 and third quarter of this year," Duterte-Carpio said.
Senior Supt. Ronald Dela Rosa, DCPO chief, lauded the Sta. Ana police station for its outstanding accomplishments.
The other 11 police stations received P100,000 cash incentive each.
Social Amelioration Allowance for every police and fire personnel will be P1,000 per month.
Duterte-Carpio said though other stations received lower amount cash incentives, she would like to believe that each station is doing its best to reduce crime rate and maintain a higher crime solution efficiency in the city.
"Duha ra man gud na, it's either wala'y nagapanghitabo na crime incidents in other areas which is good, or wala naningkamot ang uban kapulisan,” she added. (ICT)
