Security guard hit by own gun

A SECURITY guard landed in hospital after he was accidentally hit by his own gun at a restaurant on Padre Gomez street in Davao City on Saturday morning.
Senior Police Officer 1 Raul Lucas, investigator of the San Pedro police, identified the victim as Danilo G. Mag-aso Jr., 21, from Vanguard Security Agency and a resident of Piapi on Quezon blvd. in Davao City.
Initial investigation showed the victim was opening a roll-up door of the Dragon Feet Restaurant when he pulled out his gun from his waist. The gun accidentally fired hitting him.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the right lower portion of his leg and was brought to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for treatment.
Recovered from the scene of incident were a Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver with serial number 1070007, four live ammunition, and one empty shell, which were turned over to San Pedro police for documentation. (Ivy C. Tejano)
