A 23-YEAR-OLD man was sued before the Regional Trial Court for allegedly possessing an improvised firearm.

Prosecutor Retrina Fuentes charged Saidamin Macabawi, a resident of Barangay 2-A, for violation of Presidential Decree 1866 or illegal possession of firearms.

Court records showed that the respondent was caught by Kagawad Osop Barani of Barangay 5-A in Bankerohan Bridge on August 8 with a sumpak in his waist. The gun was confiscated from his possession.

The suspect is the fourth person arrested while the localized gun ban is in effect in time for the celebration of the Kadayawan festival. The prohibition will last until August 31. (ANC)
