THE Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) set the arraignment of the four young militants next month.
A staff from the MTCC Branch 1 said that the arraignment of Werlo Enero, 19; Bathala Lim, 21; Johny Alianza, 23; and Joselito Lagon, 23 was set on October 4.
Enero is charged with malicious mischief, while Lim, Alianza and Lagon are charged with resistance and serious disobedience to an agent of a person in authority.
Lim is also charged with slight physical injuries. Prosecutor Serafica Weis recommended a P2,000 bail for each of the respondents.
The four, who called themselves the "Le Jardin 4," were released from Davao City Police Office detention facility after they posted bail on Wednesday afternoon.
Records showed that on August 24, members of the Talomo police under Superintendent Dionisio C. Abude went to Bariquit compound at Le Jardin subdivision around 8 a.m. to implement a fence permit that landowners Villa Abrille applied with the city.
Residents and members of militant groups resisted the attempted fencing off of the pathway in the compound.
The police said they arrested the protesters because they were throwing stones at them.
Abude said the respondents resisted arrest, the reason Police Officer 3 Marcelo Cubeta was injured and his uniform torn.
At the Talomo Police Station, Enero allegedly kicked the main gate of the station causing an estimated damage of P10,000. (Arianne Caryl N. Casas)
