THE Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) Monday reminded all departments of the City Hall to strictly comply with the "No Noon-Break" policy being implemented in all government offices nationwide.
Erwin Alparaque, HRMO chief, told Sun.Star Davao that all offices of the City Hall are mandated to comply with the order strictly.
The City Hall also issued a memorandum reiterating the policy in compliance with the Republic Act 9485 otherwise known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
"We have to implement a good practice among government employees in all the departments," Alparaque said.
Alparaque said they issued the order reiterating the No-Noon-Break policy after receiving complaints that there are some offices at the City Hall that are not observing the policy.
"Dapat dili balibaran ang mga tao na naa sa mga opisina bisag lunch break na (Clients who are already in various offices must be accommodated even during lunch break)," Alparaque said.
Alparaque said vital offices at the City Hall, including the Treasurer’s Office, Health Office, Assessor’s Office, Civil Registrar, Engineer’s Office, Building Office, and Social Service and Development Office, among others must accommodate clients even during lunch break.
Acting City Administrator Zuleika Lopez issued a memorandum dated August 29, mandating all departments and offices of the City Hal to religiously observe the policy.
"As such, you are requested to device appropriate working schedule to attend to clients who are within the premises during lunch break," Lopez said in her memorandum.
