No order yet to pull out city workers at Comelec

AN OFFICIAL of the City Hall's Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) will only pull out job order employees assigned at the Regional Office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Davao upon the order of Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Erwin Alparaque, HRMO chief, said there are only 10 job order workers assigned at the Comelec regional office.
He said the mayor is yet to issue an order to pull out the employees.
Since the filing for Certificate of Candidacy (COC) is slated on October 1-5, the mayor said she will order the pullout of these employees from Comelec as she wanted to avoid any form of lack propaganda against her.
Alparaque, for his part, said the deployment of personnel to national agencies other than Comelec is part of the city's commitment to provide assistance to all national agencies by personnel augmentation and is not to serve political interest.
"Dili unta ko gusto, pero sila man ang nag request. Documented man pud ang ilang request sa Comelec. Dili ko gusto kay dili ko gusto na maka ingun ang mga tao na gina impluwensyahan namo ang Comelec (I really don't want the idea but since they have a valid request, I granted it. I also don't like it because I don't want people thinking that I want to influence the Comelec)," the mayor said.
The mayor added that before the election period, the city may pull out all city-paid employees at the Comelec.
At present, the mayor is yet to decide whether she will really run or not in the 2013 elections. (Jereco O. Paloma)
