COTABATO CITY -- Armed men torched an elementary school building in Maguindanao around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Colonel Prudencio Asto, Army's 6th Infantry Division Public Affairs chief, said the men barged into Limbayan Elementary School in Bongo Island, Parang and poured gasoline all over the principal's office and library and lighted them up.
Teachers and concerned citizens tried to put out the fire but the men threatened to shoot them.
