Rape raps filed vs city cop

CHARGES have been filed before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) against a policeman accused of raping his 17-year-old housemaid.
The City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) recommended for the filing of the case against Senior Police Officer 1 Adonis Tablo Imbestro, who allegedly raped Nene (not her real name).
Prosecutor Gaye Magdagasang recommended no bail for the respondent.
Nene, in her affidavit, claimed she was drying her hair after taking a bath when the respondent who was lying on the sofa called her for an errand.
She said that when she returned she was surprised to see the accused inside her room.
She said the accused smelled her and dragged her to bed and started to rape her. She resisted but the respondent was stronger than her.
Senior Superintendent dela Rosa, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) chief, said Imbestro was immediately relieved from his post pending resolution of the case filed against him.
The case is set to be raffled off to a court next week. (Arianne Caryl N. Casas)
