Cop official back as DNPPO director-A A +A

A POLICE official, who has been relieved from his post service on October 3, following a dispute at the Davao del Norte Electric Cooperative (Daneco) is back to his position as director of the Davao del Norte Provincial Police Office (DNPPO).
Senior Superintendent Jose Carumba, chief of Police Regional Office’s Police Community Relation Division (PRO–PCRD), said Senior Supt. Eduardo Wycoco returned to the DNPPO as director on October 8, after the order for his removal from his position has been nullified.
"The order has been revoked and it was learned that Wycoco had no misgivings in handling the Daneco dispute," Carumba said.
Wycoco was removed from his position following the order of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas.
He almost didn't reach two years in DNPPO after the order took effect on October 3.
Carumba said Wycoco was removed from his position after a complaint reached DILG national office that he did not cooperate with Sheriff Renato Suarez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Nabunturan when the Writ of Preliminary Injunction (WPI) was served to Reynaldo Bandala, officer-in-charge of Daneco around 9 a.m. of October 3.
According to Senior Supt. Cesar Azares, DNPPO assistant provincial chief, it is not true that Wycoco did not mind the WPI for Daneco.
"The accusation that he was a non-cooperative was wrong. The truth is kami nagtrabaho kay ako man ang ground commander ana didto sa Tipaz, si PD pud didto sa G MALL nag supervise, so na mali lang ang report nga non- cooperative kay naa man mismo siya, mo-witness man ko nga naa man siya nag supervise sa amoa," Azares said.
Carumba added that because of the incident, PRO regional director, Chief Supt. Jaime H. Morente, reminded his personnel again to be keen with their duties.
He added that they are hoping that a similar incident will not happen again.
