City police office warns vs PNP exam ‘leakage’

THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) warned against alleged leakage in the October 2012 Philippine National Police (PNP) examinations, saying the authorities will not hesitate to arrest anyone found to have a hand in this kind of cheating in the city.
Senior Superintendent Ronald dela Rosa, DCPO chief, issued the statement after an article published in a national paper exposed rampant trade of leaked exam answers especially in Mindanao.
The exams were held last October 14 in various testing centers across the country including in Davao City.
Dela Rosa admitted that he met with the National Police Commission (Napolcom) and with the Police Regional Office (PRO) to discuss the veracity of the reports and to investigate if the leakage has reached Davao City.
“We also received instructions to dismiss all officials who are behind the alleged leakage if they are still working with the PNP,” dela Rosa said.
At present, they do not have any suspect or idea if the leakage reached the city.
The result for the exams will be released next month. (Jereco O. Paloma)
