DAVAO City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte visited the tomb of his parents at the Wireless Catholic Cemetery in Madapo Hills Saturday night ahead of the All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

Duterte, who was with his youngest daughter Veronica, lighted a candle and offered prayers for his father, the late Davao governor Vicente Duterte, and mother Soledad "Nanay Soling" Duterte, who passed away last February.

Nanay Soling was cremated and her ashes were put inside the Duterte mausoleum.

The vice mayor made an early visit ahead of November 1 as he and his family were set to travel to Xiamen, China.

Until now, Duterte admitted he's still grieving over his mother's death.

"She had the greatest influence over me," the vice mayor said. (CRAM)
