THE City Government of Davao reminded all Dabawenyos on Wednesday who will troop to city's cemetries and memorial parks to visit their departed loved-ones during All Saint's and All Souls' Day or “Undas” to abide by the new traffic scheme which law-enforcement units have put in place.
Retired Colonel Desiderio Cloribel, chief of the city's Traffic Management Center (TMC), told Dabawenyo motorists to just follow traffic laws while on the road to prevent accident and ensure smoother flow of traffic.
Cloribel said all traffic laws are in effect even during the holidays thus all are expected to abide by it throughout the long weekend.
Cloribal also warned motorists of a heavy traffic especially in four major areas that will be subject for rerouting, especially on November 1 and 2.
From November 1-4, a re-routing scheme will be implemented on all major cemeteries in Davao City, especially those that are located within the downtown area.
The re-routeing scheme will be implemented in all roads leading to Davao Memorial Park along McArthur Highway in Matina, Chinese Cemetery on Sarenas Road, Buhangin Memorial Park along Buhangin-Cabantian Road, and in five neighbouring cemeteries in Madapo Hills.
Liquors, gambling materials, loud sound system, and other equipment that might cause public nuisance will also be banned inside all cemeteries in Davao City.
