Fire razes store, house-A A +A

A DVD store and a house were razed while another house and a car were damaged when a fire broke out in Mini Forest, Barangay 23-C, Quezon Blvd., Davao City at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Based on the initial investigation conducted by SPO1 Jules Nomer Micabalo of Sta. Ana Police, the DVD store was owned by Mabah Palawan and the house was owned by Akraman Manatara.
The fire also damaged the house of one Strella Maroug and a white Nissan pickup bearing plate number MEE771 which was parked nearby by its driver Richard Guzman.
Further investigation revealed that the fire started at the DVD store and spread toward the residence of Manatara. Responding firefighters were able to avert further damage.
Joint personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Filipino-Chinese Firefighters Foundation (FCFF), Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade and Fire Auxiliary Services 911 responded immediately and declared the fire under control around 7 a.m.
Personnel of Sta. Ana police station were also deployed to prevent any looting incident from the scene of the incident.
BFP is yet to determine the estimated cost of damages and the cause of fire.
