Senior Police Officer 4 Jeffrey Bangcas, DCPO's Investigation and Detection Management Branch (IDMB) case tracker, identified the suspect as Rey Cular Seneres, 48, painter, of Barangay 76-A, Mabini Boulevard in Davao City.
Seneres was charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He was brought before the City Prosecutor’s Office around 2 p.m. for inquest proceedings.

Bangcas, in an interview, said the suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in his house at Purok 2 in Barangay 76-A of Mabini Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Bangcas said the suspect was arrested in a joint operation of the DCPO-IDMB and Intelligence Division, following a letter addressed to their director Senior Superintendent Ronald M. dela Rosa about the whereabouts and activities of the suspect.
Based on the letter, the complainant, who refused to be identified, sought the assistance of the police because of the rampant selling of illegal drugs on the area.
The complainant added that the suspect even have a "boss" working in some government agencies here.
