POLICE filed charges before the Davao City Prosecutor’s Office against a barangay secretary for allegedly threatening three brothers.
Chief Inspector Caezar Cabuhat, chief of the Sta. Ana Police Station, identified the accused as Armando Franco Violata, 52, secretary at the Barangay Hall in Agdao Proper in Davao City.
The accused was charged for grave threats based on a complaint of one Darel Braza and his two brothers, John and Corda.
The accused was brought before Prosecutor Jay Karel Sanchez around 5:30 p.m. Friday for inquest proceedings.
Cabuhat said the accused was arrested at Purok Kalipay in Barangay Agdao around 1:30 p.m. of January 25 after he allegedly pointed a gun at the three men.
The three brothers said they are not aware what prompted Violata to threaten them.
The accused is now detained at the Sta. Ana Police Station for his proper disposition. (ICT)
