Ma found dead inside house

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- A 39-year-old mother was found dead inside her house in a remote village in Magpet town in North Cotabato around 12:30 p.m., Thursday, a police investigator said.

Police Officer 3 Redentor Siangco, Magpet police investigator, identified the victim as Vilma Oclao, 39, a mother of three and a resident of sitio Pandanon in Barangay Bongalanon, Magpet.

Siangco said the victim bore three wounds on her head believed to be from a hard object: one on her forehead and two at the back.

Robbery was believed to be one of the motives behind the killing as some cash and a digital camera of the victim were missing, the police officer said.

The victim's husband Ronnie told authorities he left their house for work at the adjacent barangay around 7 a.m. Thursday. He last saw Vilma taking care of the flowers and plants at their garden and was surprised to learn about his wife's death.

The husband has had his wife's body examined to determine if she was first molested before she was killed.

"Based on the post-mortem examination, the victim was not raped," Siangco said.

The family and relatives of the victim want justice for her death.

They, however, are clueless as to who did the killing, Siangco said.
