Cops arrest 2 drug suspects

POLICE arrested two suspected drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Davao City in the past two days.
Personnel from the Investigation and Detection Management Branch of the Davao City Police Office (IDMB-DCPO) first conducted a buy-bust operation at 6:45 p.m. of Thursday against Ralph Anthony Barog Biado, 25, dancer and a resident of Camus extension in Barangay 9-A Poblacion.
IDMB-DCPO Chief Superintendent Antonio Rivera received a call from a concerned citizen who provided information on the suspect. Police personnel then responded to the area but the suspect was not at their residence.
A neighbor of the suspect told authorities that the suspect was currently at Sharques Inn in Matina Aplaya.
The police officers proceeded to the said inn, where one of them acted as a poseur buyer. As the suspect handed out a sachet containing suspected shabu, the police officers made the arrest.
Recovered from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and P500-marked money.
The other buy-bust operation was conducted by Sta. Ana police at 11 a.m. of Friday at the house of Janalan Mohamad Sampiano, alias Mawi, 21, and a resident of Purok 1, Isla Verde, Barangay 23-C, Quezon Blvd.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect were three sachets containing suspected shabu and P500-marked money.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Ruji Peter S. Abat)
