No council regular session today

THERE will be no regular session today (Tuesday) in line with the preparation for the 76th Araw ng Dabaw celebration.
Charito Santos, secretary to the City Council, told Sun.Star Davao that the city councilors agreed on this during the regular session last week.
Santos said majority floor leader Tomas Monteverde IV, in a communication, said the session has been deferred next week to give time for the councilors to attend various activities for the 76th Araw ng Dabaw celebration. She was furnished a copy of the letter from Monteverde.
Santos said all pending items supposedly for the regular session this afternoon will be tackled next week Tuesday, March 19.
This week is filled with various major events for the city's charter anniversary.
The Sayaw Pinoy elementary and high school categories will be held along San Pedro Street (fronting Agila Stage, Rizal Park) tomorrow, Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Sayaw Pinoy Adult Category, Kanta Dabaw and Laban Labandz Finals will be on March 14 at 6 p.m. along San Pedro Street.
The Sayawan sa Da’n Competition, Datu Bago Awards Night, and Lankuban Musika sa Dabawenyo Concert will be on March 15.
A thanksgiving mass, Parada Dabawenyo and Pahalipay Concert ni Mayor Sara ug Vice Mayor Rody Duterte will be on March 16.
