Water service interruption set Mar. 15-16

THE Davao City Water District (DCWD) has scheduled two sets of water service interruptions over the weekend to give way to separate systems improvement projects.
First is an 8-hour water cut on March 15 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and will affect Millennium Village, Adap Village, Indangan Relocation and a portion of Indangan Rd. specifically from the corner of Millennium Village to the corner of Molave Homes.
The engineering and construction crew will tap the newly installed 8-inch diameter Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipeline to the existing 8-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Phase 1 and 2 in Molave Homes.
Upon completion of this project, which cost P921,580.77, about 300 new connections can be accommodated.
The second water cut is from 9 p.m. of March 15 until 5 a.m. of March 16 and will affect the areas along Davao-Bukidnon Rd. from corner Batalla Village up to Ulas Public Cemetery, specifically in Greenhills Subd., Bacanaya Compound, BRC Village, Keith Williams, Maligaya Village and their immediate environs.
The operation and maintenance crew will install a by-pass line at Davao-Bukidnon Rd. at corner Batalla Village in Catalunan Pequeño as part of DCWD's District Metered Area Project which aims to help reduce non-revenue water.
DCWD acting general manager Edwin V. Regalado advises would-be affected customers to store enough water prior to the scheduled water interruption as water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
The general public may call the DCWD trunk line at 221-9400 and press “1” on their phone dial to listen to the latest daily water updates, or contact its call center through the 24-hour hotlines 221-9412, 0927-798-8966, 0908-441-0653 or 0925-511-3293 for updates, complaints, queries and other matters pertaining to DCWD services.
