The victim was identified as Raul Miguel, 21, single and a resident of S.I.R, Phase I, New Matina, Barangay 76-A Bucana.
Based on initial investigation conducted by Talomo police, Miguel was walking alone when he encountered a group of 15 boys believed to be members of a gang and was mauled for no apparent reason.
One of the members of the group also hit Miguel's head with a rock.
Miguel was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) by some witnesses, while the suspects fled.
