The victim was identified as Raul Miguel, 21, single and a resident of S.I.R, Phase I, New Matina, Barangay 76-A Bucana.
Based on initial investigation conducted by Talomo police, Miguel was walking alone when he encountered a group of 15 boys believed to be members of a gang and was mauled for no apparent reason.
One of the members of the group also hit Miguel's head with a rock.
Miguel was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) by some witnesses, while the suspects fled.
Police said some witnesses identified two of the suspects as alias Melvin and alias Marlou.
The shooting incident, meanwhile, happened around 4 p.m. at Sta. Ana Wharf.
The victim was identified as Thom Pantaleon, 18, a resident of Barangay Leon Garcia.
The Sta. Ana police said the victim was on his way to the wharf to bathe at the beach along with his friends. Upon reaching the wharf, they saw members of a rival gang from Isla Verde, Barangay 23-C Poblacion taking a bath.
A fight then broke out as the two gangs threw stones at each other. One of the members of the rival gang pulled out an improvised pistol and shot the victim once on his shoulder.
