THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) visited 13 houses in Barangay Buhangin Proper on Tuesday as Oplan Tokhang (Toktok, Hangyo) continues to seek out suspected drug pushers in the city.
Senior Superintendent Ronald M. dela Rosa, DCPO director who spearheaded the house-to-house visit, also talked to suspected drug pushers along with Buhangin Police Station commander Ruben Ramos and Barangay Buhangin Proper chieftain James Salvador.
Dela Rosa said of the 13 houses the authorities visited, only 11 suspected drug pushers submitted themselves for a discussion.
"Luckily, there were no untoward incidents during the house-to-house visit. Those people on the list participated, except for the two houses na wala daw didto ang tagtungod," dela Rosa said.
He added that they will still continue to monitor the suspects, especially those already on the list, to confirm if they really listened to the discussion, and if they are true with their words not to involve themselves anymore on drugs.
The DCPO chief said they would resume their Oplan Tokhang in various barangays in the city in the next coming days, adding that Tokhang will continue until Davao is declared drug-free. (ICT)
