Farmer in beheading arrested

POLICE arrested a suspect who beheaded a 20-year-old farmer in Sitio Quimasog, Barangay Marilog on Thursday.
The suspect was identified as Enocencio Gomez, a 56-year-old farmer, while the victim was identified as Senarillos, a 20-year-old farmer. Both are residents of Sitio Sto. Rosario, Barangay Marilog.
Gomez was arrested at around 3 p.m. after Marilog police launched a manhunt operation against him.
Based on the initial investigation conducted by Marilog Police Station, the incident happened at around 11 a.m. at the house of the victim.
The brother of the victim identified as Carlos Senarillos, Jr. saw the suspect come out of the house and holding a bloodied machete.
Senarillos then checked inside the house and found the headless body of his brother.
Further investigation revealed that the amputated head was found 600 meters away from the house. Police also found out that the motive of the suspect was due to a previous conflict with the victim.
The suspect is now detained at the Marilog Police Station where he is facing charges for murder.
