DOUBTS on whether the young man who fell from the fourth level parking of a mall here committed suicide or not was put to rest as his posting in his Facebook account showed he planned this.
“Salamat earth salamat ma, pa, din ,luv, randy sa tanan salammat kuya Bench Tm ate Enneyehc Enelrahc sorry og salamat happy kaau ko na naa ko dra sa puder ninyo salamat,” reads the FB status of Nestor Ramos Jr., 26, of Isabella Homes Subdivision in barangay New Visayas, Panabo City, who fell to his death around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Ramos worked as a technician in an internet café.
The victim, who was wearing a white polo shirt and black cargo pants, was found dead at the parking lot’s entrance-exit area along Sta. Ana Avenue around 8:15 p.m.
Luceno Bejona, security guard under the Paseca Security Agency, in an interview, said he was at the ground floor when he heard a bang at the entrance-exit of the parking lot.
"Nakurat nalang mi kay naa nay nakatakulob unya duguan na tao pag gawas namo. Wa pud mi kabalo ug asa na siya gikan. Diri nia ra man gud mi na assign unya lahi na guards pud sa ubang floors (We were startled to see the bloodied man lying face down. We don't know where he came from since we are only assigned on the ground floor and other guards are manning the rest of the floors)," Renato Cortez, security guard under the PASECA, said.
Archie Reyes, member of the Filipino-Chinese Firefighters, on the other hand, said the firefighters were having a meeting around 8 p.m. when they heard a bang, which he thought at first was a gunshot.
"Napansin namo ni siya sa fourth floor, while naga meeting mi. Natingala nalang mi naay nibuto. Murag buto jud sa baril. Mao to among gigawas, nakit-an nalang namo siya sa ground floor na (We first noticed this man on the fourth floor, while we were in a meeting. We were startled by a bang like a gunshot. We rushed out to find him on the floor)," Reyes said.
The firefighters’ motorpool and office is at the exit gate of the mall parking.
The victim’s dead body was brought to Angel Funeral Homes for an autopsy.
But Supt. Caezar Cabuhat, head of the Sta. Ana police station, told Sun.Star Davao that they are yet to conduct an investigation.
Also in his status, it reads: "I decided to go hindi dahil sa kasalanan ko ngaun… dahil matagal ko na tong plano, sana pala ginawa ko na noon di na sana ako nka gawa pa ng ibang kasalanan at makapanakit ng damdamin ng ibang tao."
In reply to a comment to his status by a friend who was telling him not to do something drastic, his reply was: “dli ni sya dautan teh mao jud ni sya akong disisyon (This is not wrong, sister, this is my decision).”
There were other status messages where the victim bade goodbye.
