A MAN who figured in two separate shooting incidents that killed a laborer and a farmer in Davao City was charged before the City Prosecutor's Office Friday.
Charged for murder through regular filing was Allan Sanoria Lubas, alias Landoy, 27, single of Purok 5, Sitio Naming, Barangay Angalan, Tugbok District.
Lubas was charged after he was possibly identified as the suspect in the killing of Crisanto Villafuerte, a 40-year-old laborer, a native of Kiblawan, Davao del Sur and a resident of Purok 1, San Juan, Barangay Balingaeng, Tugbok last July 9, and Santiago Itil Caburao, a 59-year-old farmer on August 2.
Tugbok Police Station Chief Ariel Acala, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said: "Gipasakaan na namo siya ug kaso para naa na pud mi warrant of arrest sa iya. So far, wala pa mi lead kung asa ni siya gatago pero padayon gihapon ang among imbestigasyon, (We have already filed a case against him so that we can get a warrant for his arrest. But we don't have any leads yet as to his whereabouts but we are still pursuing our investigation)."
It can be recalled that Villafuerte was gunned down by Lubas last month while he was having a drinking session with some friends in their neighborhood. Villafuerte was killed on the spot after succumbing to four gunshot wounds in his head.
Caburao, meanwhile, was killed outside his house while he was having a conversation with Lubas.
Police report revealed that Lubas brandished his gun before Caburao yet the latter was unfazed. Caburao allegedly challenged Lubas that his gun was fake which may have prompted the latter to open fire on the victim.
