DMSF ranks 7th in physician licensure exam-A A +A

DAVAO Medical School Foundation (DMSF) placed seventh in the top performing schools in the August 2013 Physician Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday.
A total of 56 or 90.32 percent of 62 examinees from the DMSF passed the board exam.
All the 56 passers are first timers, according to the data released by the PRC.
The DMSF placed next to St. Louie University in Baguio City, with a passing rate of 93.94 percent.
It was a four-way tie for first place for the University of the Philippines-Manila (with 149 passers), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (with 97 examinees), Ateneo de Manila University School of Medical and Public Health in Pasig City (with 84 examinees) and Cebu Institute of Medicine (with 79 passers).
The University of Santo Tomas, the school with the most number of examinees among the 40 schools, ranked second with 427 passers out of 429 takers or 99.53 percent.
Third was University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (98.26 percent), followed West Visayas State University-La Paz (97.14 percent) as fourth, while Far Esatern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (94 percent) ranked fifth.
De la Salle University-Health Sciences Institute placed eighth with 89.53 percent.
The PRC said 1,834 out of 2,211 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao in August 2013.
The topnotcher of the August 2013 examination is Blake Warren Coloma of Cebu Institute of Medicine with a passing rate of 89.42 percent.
