CHARGES have been filed before the City Prosecutor's Office (CPO) against a woman who was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation recently.
Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is Maria Daquiado Molina, alias Madam, 48, who hails in Barangay Calawag, Parang, Maguindanao.
Talomo Police Chief Julius E. Silagan, in an interview, said they were tipped by an informant that the suspect was about to deliver illegal drugs within Talomo police area-of-responsibility.
The suspect was arrested at Twin Teres Inn in Matina Aplaya, Davao City after she handed out a small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police officer, who acted as poseur buyer with P1,500 marked money.
Also recovered from the possession of the suspect are two big heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu, one empty sachet with shabu residue, assorted paraphernalia and two Nokia mobile phones.
Molina is now detained at the Talomo Police Station while the confiscated drugs were submitted to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory Davao Region for examination. The seized drugs will be presented as evidence against the suspect in court.
