TWO security guards are facing charges before the Davao City Prosecutor's Office on Monday for malicious mischief and for assaulting three police officers last Saturday.
Charged with malicious mischief and direct assault were Jemry and Orlan Canubas, after the former destroyed the things inside the house of Francisco Bantayan at Saint John, Barangay 76-A Bucana, Davao City and assaulting Police Officer 1 (PO1) Jibson Ybas, PO1 Rene Bibon and PO1 Ansari Malik of San Pedro police.
Investigation conducted by San Pedro police revealed that Jemry went to the house of Bantayan to invite the latter to a drinking session.
Bantayan, however, refused to drink with Jemry, who got angry. Jemry reportedly smashed things inside the house of Bantayan.
When the police officers arrived following Bantayan's call for assistance, Jemry attacked the three police officers instead of turning himself in.
Orlan also assaulted the cops upon seeing that his brother was being handcuffed.
While they were on the way to San Pedro Police Station onboard Mobile Patrol 18, Jemry allegedly bit the legs of PO1 Bibon and PO1 Ybas, and kicked the face of PO1 Malik.
Jemry also kicked Malik upon arriving at the police precinct.
The two are now detained at the San Pedro Police Station.
