Man faces raps for attempted murder-A A +A

CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor's Office (CPO) against a man who attempted to kill a 25-year-old man in a shooting incident in Bunawan, Davao City last September 1.
Facing charges of frustrated murder is Roque Rosel Bustamante, resident of Barangay Isidro in Bunawan.
Bustamante was accused of trying to kill Ruel Maglantay Galolo, a worker at a vulcanizing shop in the said area last September 1.
Bustamente was arrested at his residence by operatives of Bunawan Police Chief Reynaldo Capute in coordination with Barangay Kagawad Eddie Iñigo.
The suspect surrendered his caliber .38 revolver to authorities.
Police investigation revealed that last September 1, the victim was working at the vulcanizing shop when the suspect approached him and shot him several times. The suspect fled on board a motorcycle while the victim was brought to Southern Philippine Medical Center where he is undergoing treatment after sustaining a gunshot wound on his cheek.
Iñigo informed the Bunawan police that he knew where the suspect lives.
Police then arrested Bustamante at his residence.
The suspect is now detained at Bunawan police. Police are also expected to file charges of illegal possession of firearm against Bustamante.
