POLICE are set to file complaints before the City Prosecutor's Office against two suspects arrested in separate robbery incidents in Davao City Tuesday.
Facing charges of robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code are Junel Mendoza, 20, from Purok 10, Seaside South, Barangay Lapu-Lapu, and Perla Villacampa Mansanares, 60, from Barangay 37.
Mendoza was arrested by Sta. Ana police after he was pointed out as the suspect responsible for robbing Fe Amihan Pedrahas, 40, married.
Investigation of Sta. Ana police showed that when the victim woke up at around 5 a.m., she discovered that her two mobile phones and P300 worth of cash were already missing. One witness identified as Justine Balmedra Valenzuela saw the suspect enter the house of the victim and reported it to the authorities.
Cops went to the house of Mendoza where they recovered the two mobile phones owned by the victim.
Mansanares, meanwhile, was collared by Sasa police after trying to steal from the NCCC Supermarket in Panacan at around 4:45 p.m.
Based on the investigation of Sasa police, the suspect took two Nan HW2 milk from the supermarket and placed them inside her shoulder bag. She tried to exit the supermarket but was accosted by security guards who endorsed her to the Sasa police.
The two are now detained at the said police stations while the stolen items will be used as evidence against them in court.
