DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) Director Ronald M. "Bato" dela Rosa warned the police force to shape up and improve their performance in solving various criminalities in the city.
Dela Rosa issued the warning not only to police station chiefs, but also to all police personnel in the city. He said all of them should instill the necessary reform and come up with solution to every crime incident in the city.
Dela Rosa said the entire police force must intensify efforts in implementing police operations to deter criminalities in the city.
"If we could not see any action to solve crime incidents (in their respective area of responsibility), i-relieve nato sila. Dili nato sila ng i-relieve because daghan nag nahitabo nga vigilant killings sa ilang area of responsibility. I-relieve nako sila kung wala ko'y makita na ginasulbad nila ang mga kaso," dela Rosa said.
Dela Rosa's warning came in the wake of recent robbery incidents in the city, wherein three or four houses have been robbed in a day, most of which happened inside subdivisions.
"Bisan pa lagi'g unsaon nimo ug pugong kung naa jud plano ang mga criminal sa pag buhat ug di maayo, mahimo jud na nila tungod kay ang atong level of prevention is baba man mao nang problema dira," dela Rosa said.
"Mao ng kung di gani na ma-solve questionable pud imong trabaho. So kana, mao na ang himuon natong basehan (whether to relieve you from the service or not)," he said.
Dela Rosa also appealed to the public to be more vigilant, adding that this will also be helpful on the part of the authorities, if the public will coordinate with them.
Dela Rosa, on the other hand, warned criminals to refrain from their activities here or else they will suffer the consequences. He also vowed to hunt all perpetrators of the crime incidents here.
