Drug raps filed vs 4-A A +A

CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor's Office against suspected drug pushers arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by police at Anahaw Village in Ma-a, Davao City Monday.
Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are Remejio Detros, 54; his sons Marvin, 33 and Remejio Jr., 32 and his brother-in-law Edilberto Batilong, 38.
The four were charged after they were arrested by operatives of the Intelligence Division of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) led by its head Supt. Anthony Padua and deputy head Sr. Insp. Ronald Lao in buy-bust around 11 p.m. Monday.
Police collared the suspects after they handed out P300 worth of marijuana packed in a newspaper. Also recovered from the suspects were two bundles of marijuana weighing around two kilos.
Batilong, meanwhile, was arrested after he was caught in the act of smoking marijuana during the operation.
The suspects are currently detained at the DCPO detention facility while the confiscated drugs were endorsed to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory 11 for examination. It will be later used as evidence during the preliminary investigation against the suspects in court.
