THE committee on finance, ways and means of the 17th City Council recommended a higher amount for the city's Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) pegged at P40.5 billion.

The LDIP, which contains the programs of the government for 2014 to 2016, is P40,572,148,000.

The committee report said the LDIP includes all other projects/program/activities that may be identified by various departments, barangay councils, concerned national line agencies, the Office of the City Mayor and the Honorable Members of the City Council, that fall within the program of government of the administration and are patterned to the sectoral goals, strategies, and programs indicated on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of Davao City for 2013-2022 which was favorably indorsed by the City Development Council (CDC) in its Resolution No. 11A, series of 2013, dated October 10, 2013.
