DCPO launches text hotline, social media accounts-A A +A

DAVAO CITY Police Office (DCPO) director Vicente D. Danao Jr. encouraged residents be vigilant against crime and use mobile phones and the social media to get in touch with the police.
The DCPO launched on Monday its text hotline and Facebook account dubbed as “Isumbong Kang CD,” which intends to entertain complaints from the public through text and social media.
Danao said the public can now forward their complaints, reports, or suggestions through text message or call the hotline number 09258-CDDCPO or 09258-233276, adding that public can also inform via Facebook: IsumbongkayCddcpo and Twitter: @Isumbongkaycd.
"If it's confidential matter that entails your (person) safety, you can email your reports or complaints to our email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Kung sa Facebook, pupwedeng i-PM (private message) ninyo nalang," Danao said.
The DCPO has activated its text hotline number and social media accounts on November 18. Danao hopes that their office will received more receptions and feedbacks from the public.
Danao added that he believes these text hotline and social media would strengthen their drive to lower the crime rate in Davao City, as the project gives the public better access to receive complaints and feedbacks the fastest way.
